Kanzlei - The Kanzlei Club is located next to Helvetiaplatz in the Langstrasse district. It can host up to 500 partiers over its two floors. It is well known for its grungy atmosphere, as well as the cheap drinks and captivating decorations. Local and international DJs play music from Thursday to Saturday every week. Reservations for one or more lounges can be made in advance, so you don't have to queue at the entrance. A lounge has seating for 6-8 people and only costs 180 CHF - quite a bargain compared to some of the thousand-dollar lounges around the city. The Kanzlei Club is also an amazing location to hold private events such as parties, theater performances, and concerts, so if anyone needs some birthday party location ideas - definitely look into this place.
Hiltl Club - The Hiltl Club is a weekend nightclub at the rooftop Hiltl restaurant which is located on Bahnhofstrasse. Every weekend, the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Switzerland turns into a nightclub with shabby-chic decor, a neon-lit bar and Deep House music. There is a 10 CHF admission fee, which is a third of most clubs around the area. The clubbers are mostly young and elegant, so you should definitely be able to fit in. The Hiltl Club must be in the to-do list for every local and visitor of Zurich.
Aura Club - During weekdays Aura is a multifunctional event location, but on the weekends it transforms into an elegant club with a very sophisticated atmosphere. There are various live concerts, exotic acrobatic shows and international DJs playing hits to spice up your weekend. The club has 450 square meters for you to party in, as well as an innovative 360 degree projector. Plaza - The Plaza is a club that includes 3 bars and 4 lounges on the ground floor and another bar and dancefloor on the second floor. The Plaza Club is located at the bursting corner of Baden-/Langstrasse, right in the center of Kreis 4. Guests can enjoy 90’s, hip-hop, house or electronic music.
The Plaza Bar on the second floor is probably the biggest fumoir in the city, offering a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere (if you're a smoker, that is). There are also often concerts without an age limit before the parties so if you snatch a ticket, you can also feel the famous Kaufleuten vibe.
Vior Club - In the city center of Zurich, Vior is the place where people can have the best clubbing experience. It is the place to be for party lovers who want to party excessively. Spread over two floors, Vior offers its guests House, Mash-Up and R&B hits. The reservation for a table costs around CHF 450 and for the reservation of a separated VIP-Lounge for up to 10 people costs a minimum of CHF 1,200. The class of 2019 had their after-prom party there last year, so we can testify that this club is a place to let loose!
Hive - Located in the trendy Zurich-West area near Hardbrucke, the Hive Club offers local musicians, and also concerts, theater evenings, art exhibitions and game nights. It also has its own club kitchen called the Gerold Chuchi which has famously amazing burgers, as well as some other high-quality, but casual dishes. Hive has a fair price for both the entrance and the drinks. Entry is allowed for women over 21 years and men over 23 years (except for Thursdays where the age limit is 18 for both men and women). Gallery - Gallery Club is conveniently located in the heart of Zurich just off Paradeplatz. Every Friday and Saturday the club opens its doors to sophisticated guests, who will be enjoying mostly latin music. The ambience of the high-end venue is a combination of lavish and extravagant. It hosts events like “Latin Fridays” and “Festa dos Portugueses”. But Gallery is not only a club; the chic location also serves as a lounge, cocktail bar, afterwork hotspot and event location.
Mascotte (Girls) - Mascotte is Zurich’s oldest club and can be found directly at Bellevue. This 100 year old club hosted many famous musicians, among them was Josephine Baker (a world-famous French-American dancer, singer and actress) and Louis Armstrong (probably the most well known American Jazz trumpeter). Nowadays, the program varies between DJs playing Hip-Hop, Punk, Rock, Metal and Folk and live concerts by international artists. If you're in the mood for some stand-up comedy or author visits, make sure to check out their schedule because they might just have your perfect event coming up. Mascotte’s motto is: “expect the unexpected!” so be prepared to dance, laugh and simply have a great time.
Icon - Icon is located at Paradeplatz in the Zurich city center. It is in a 300 year old townhouse and offers the uniquely warm and cozy atmosphere of an old wooden chalet. It has a large bar area, modern sound system, and luxurious lounges under the historic wooden beams, providing the perfect environment for every kind of event. DJs mostly play Hip Hop, R&B, and House Music. The walls are covered in mirrors, giving the illusion of a bigger room. Sometimes it even feels like its underground, since there are no actual windows. Guests are usually 18 years old, or older, and there is no entry fee for girls.
