Ready for a Night Out: Makeup Stores

© LVMH

Sephora - Sephora is still relatively new to Zurich but there are already two permanent stores, one in the Manor on Bahnhofstrasse and the other in HB, which is open 7 days a week. Sephora houses a variety of international brands, most of which aren’t sold elsewhere in Zurich. For example, they have full collections of Urban Decay, Fendy, and Too Faced - makeup staples that you’d otherwise need to order online. There are always very helpful attendants to assist you with whatever you need and give advice on the longest-lasting lipstick or trendiest eyeshadow palette.

Marionnaud - Marionnaud is a French perfume and cosmetics retailer that has multiple stores throughout Zurich, one directly on Bahnhofstrasse. They offer a variety of brands, including the new edition of the popular Jeffree Star collection. The celebrity even came to a store opening in Sihlcity last year to advertise his products. Marionnaud is a great place to if you’re looking strictly for high-end cosmetics.

Manor - Manor is one of the best places in Zurich to buy makeup. Located directly on Bahnhofstrasse, the department store offers the largest variety of cosmetic brands in Zurich all in one place. Manor has a small Sephora within it as well as a drugstore makeup section, along with more upscale makeup stands. Here is one of the only places you can really get a full range of price levels for cosmetics.

Coop City - Coop City is a great place for drugstore makeup. In their Sihlcity location, they have an entire section of drugstore makeup, which is great if you want a large selection of brands for a budget. This is the perfect place to go if you need a quick restock of your Maybelline, Max Factor, or Essence collections. Coop city also offers a large variety of other beauty products for hair, skin, and nails - all at the lowest prices Zurich has to offer.

Aesop - If you're looking for something to treat and nourish your skin before you get all glammed up with your new Sephora kits, Aesop is the perfect place to go if you want high-quality, natural-based formulas. Although their products tend to be on the pricier side, you can still get some bucks off by buying their pre-made bundles, like this one tailored for oily skin, which cost CHF 130 for a toner, moisturizer, and cleanser. For all of you skincare fanatics, Aesop has two stores in Zurich: one near Paradeplatz, and the other near Stadelhoffen.
